‘A players’ agent is a natural person in possession of a licence issued by the national football association (Royal Belgian Football Association and Flemish government). With this licence the agent is allowed to represent players and soccer clubs within the scope of employment contracts and/or the transfer of players within the national football association as well as from and towards international associations.

To obtain a licence, a written exam has to be taken.

Also, the players’ agent concludes an insurance policy as a guarantee.

This licence will only be handed over to agents in possession of a certificate of good conduct.

This licence is of the greatest importance as evidence of the reliable professionalism and (international) experience with regard to counselling players during their career and possible transfers.’
